Franky Hoyas' Tropical Geisha grows at 1,650 masl in Colombia and undergoes an intricate fermentation protocol: initial 38-hour oxidation, thermal shock at 35°C to inoculate orange and red fruit yeasts, then 38-hour submerged fermentation in sealed drums. This advanced washed process deliberately cultivates tropical aromatics—kiwi, Fruit Loops, and chamomile—with layered fruit character from the yeast-driven fermentation. The result is a vibrant, playful coffee that delivers genuine tropical fruit complexity rather than typical Colombian profiles.
