Israel Hernandez grows Geisha—an Ethiopian variety famous for winning competitions across Latin America since 2004—near Rioblanco in Tolima, Colombia. Washed processing brings out the variety's signature intensity: hibiscus florality and lemon drop candy brightness are joined by cherry and melon fruit tones. Hernandez has collected hardware including a 2020 Cup of Excellence 4th place finish and multiple Colombian Coffee Federation prizes. Huckleberry has sourced and roasted his Geisha every season since tasting his first harvest in 2017—a relationship built on consistent excellence and complexity.
