Majirane Cooperative is a group of approximately 500 farmers on the northwest shore of Lake Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo, founded in 2020. They specialize in washed processing across two stations: Buchiro (main) and Kishinji (micro). This coffee won the Best of Congo Cooperatives competition and delivers tangy and sweet flavors with vibrant complexity and juicy acidity—a standout Congo that reflects both the quality of the cooperative's work and the resilience required to produce and export coffee from Eastern Congo under challenging circumstances.
