Kinmuga Peaberry, Papua New Guinea
From the Waghi Valley in Jiwaka Province, Papua New Guinea, this peaberry lot grows at 1,530–1,830 MASL on volcanic soils enriched by the Wara Tuman River. Fully washed at the Kindeng wet mill, it develops a clean, fruit-forward profile: caramel, green apple, pear, cinnamon, and honey. Pour-overs at 1:16.6 ratio unlock brightness and acidity; espresso at 1:2–1:2.1 balances tartness against sugar-browning depth. Beyond the cup, sourcing through Benchmark Coffee Traders supports direct investment in producer communities, including menstrual health programs and vision care initiatives across PNG's highlands.
