Colombia Jardines del Eden Bourbon Papayo

Grown by Felipe Arcilla at Jardines del Eden in Quindio, Colombia at 1800–2050 masl, this washed Bourbon Papayo was dried on raised beds to achieve ideal moisture. The cup opens balanced and classic, then morphs into soft yellow fruits with hints of cardamom and floral cumin; with age it develops jammy tropical notes of mango and banana. Brewmaster notes emphasize juicy red plums, fruit-driven acidity, and clean fruit-forward character reminiscent of Pink Bourbon. A rare microlot varietal traceable to Ethiopian landrace heritage and endemic to Colombia—worth exploring as a limited special release.
