2026 David Berrio; La Casita, End Of Season - Colombia
David Berrio's La Casita in Urrao, Antioquia sits at 2,100 masl on just 1.5 hectares—a remote garden accessed by avocado transport plane. His Chiroso underwent underwater fermentation using the cochadas method (coffee added throughout the week, washed together on Monday), then dried to 10.5% moisture. The cup delivers ripe stone fruit, yellow florals, and star fruit; Berrio had an exceptional year, with this lot ranking among the highest-scoring from Urrao. Chiroso, an Ethiopian landrace variety new to Antioquia, expresses extraordinary cup quality—and this final seasonal pass from a master grower is worth the effort to source.
