La Tortuga celebrates 30 years of partnership with Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera in Chinacla, La Paz. The Batian variety—featuring SL28, SL34, and Sudan Rume genetics—is selectively picked and carefully sorted, then washed and dried on raised beds. Tasting notes reveal preserved lemon, baking spice, and magnolia with remarkable clarity. This is a compelling expression of Kenyan genetics adapted to Honduran terroir, and one of Intelligentsia's favorite La Tortuga selections.
