Worka Chelbessa hails from Gedeb in southern Gedeo, Ethiopia's highest-altitude coffee zone (1,900–2,200 masl), where producer Neguesse Debela's washing station crafts washed coffees of notable clarity. This lot combines both wet and dry fermentation—coffee submerged 36–48 hours, then pulped and dry-fermented another 36–48 hours before 10–14 days on raised beds—a hybrid approach that deepens complexity. Expect the delicate florality and citric brightness Yirgacheffe is famed for: meyer lemon, bergamot, and refined acidity. A thoughtfully processed coffee that rewards precision brewing.
