Gatta Farm sits at 2,120–2,210 meters in Sidama Bensa's Shantawene Village, surrounded by indigenous forest, rivers, and the waterfall that names it. The anaerobic natural process—fermenting ripe cherries in sealed, oxygen-limited containers before drying whole—amplifies fermentation character while maintaining the clarity and complexity that define high-elevation Sidama. This unconventional method for the region delivers distinctive funk and depth without sacrificing the structured sweetness and mineral backbone typical of the terroir.
