Gotiti is produced by 868 smallholder farmers in Gedeb woreda, the heart of Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region, where coffee grows beneath acacia and false banana trees in cool, forested highlands. The washed process—with careful fermentation and drying at the local washing station—preserves the coffee's clarity and allows traceability from individual lots. This approach emphasizes the bright, clean character typical of Yirgacheffe while honoring the individual farmers who bring their cherries by foot or mule to the station. The elevation and shade-grown conditions contribute complexity to the cup, making this a thoughtful choice for those seeking transparency and traditional Ethiopian coffee character.
