This Education Lot decaf comes from Abdo Aba Mecha's 30-hectare estate in Ethiopia's Jimma Zone, a region developing as a hub for quality producers. It blends washed and natural processed lots, both treated with Ethyl Acetate decaffeination, creating a showcase of three distinct processing methods. The result is surprisingly well-structured and balanced—bright with fresh pear, plum, and lemongrass flavors layered over a sweet malted chocolate base. Osito's import partnership with Abdo began in 2023, making this an opportunity to explore how different processing methods shape a single producer's work.
