El Limoncillo, purchased by the Mierisch family in 1930, sits in Matagalpa's mountains on land originally granted to Bruno Mierisch Boettiger in the late 1800s—now part of a 14-farm operation spanning Nicaragua and Honduras. The Javanica variety, planted here in the early 2000s as the farm shifted toward specialty coffee, is processed naturally to amplify fruit expression. Expect big, jammy notes of berry, plum, and raspberry—a natural-processed coffee that's placed multiple times in Nicaragua's Cup of Excellence. This is terroir-driven coffee with family legacy embedded in every cup.
