Grown by award-winning producer Galo Fernando Morales Flores at Finca Cruz Loma in San José de Minas, Pichincha Province (2022 COE winner), this washed Geisha sits at 1450 masl where Ecuador's equatorial position creates year-round harvest potential. The washed process delivers a medium, silky body reminiscent of red tea, with a distinctive red fruit progression—ripe strawberry opening into cherry, finishing with raspberry—punctuated by magnolia florals and a hint of orange zest. Despite its washed processing, it drinks with the intensity and sweetness more often associated with naturals, making it compelling and unusually complex. This is direct trade, limited-quantity coffee from a multi-generational family farm; purchased small-batch for exploration rather than bulk value.
