Sumatra Bener Meriah CSC Abyssinia and Typica
From Central Sumatera Coffee's 100-hectare Bener Meriah estate in Aceh, Sumatra, grown at 1300–1400 masl with strict varietal separation. Wet-hulled processing (giling basah) — cherry depulped, fermented 12 hours, then mechanically hulled while still moist and sun-dried on patios — delivers the signature heft and minerality of the method without the muddiness. Cup shows dense body with blood orange, five spice, and lavender; scores higher than any Sumatra their importing partner Royal Coffee has evaluated. Works as batch brew or espresso, with nice clarity and sweetness unusual for the region's traditionally rustic wet-hulls.
