Bekele Belaycho grows coffee at Hora Ganet in Bensa, Ethiopia, at 2,200 meters elevation where cooler conditions slow cherry maturation and deepen sugar development. The natural process includes careful flotation and extended 22–25 day drying that builds fruit density and creamy texture while preserving sweetness. The result is a polished, fruit-forward profile with clarity and intentionality—supported by Bekele's meticulous moisture control and his son Beleteno's day-to-day oversight. This is Verve's first year purchasing from this independent operation.
