Stumptown's Black Moon Process coffee comes from Costa Rica's Sumava De Lourdes, where SL28 cherries were harvested during a solar eclipse. After three days of shade rest in specialized boxes, the cherries are de-pulped and washed, then fermented in water for 48 hours before sun-drying on raised beds. The result is an otherworldly cup balancing milk chocolate sweetness with dark blackberry depth and bright tangerine acidity—a thoughtfully processed single-origin that rewards the wait.
