India

Origin

A diverse producing country known for the unique Monsooned Malabar process and high-quality estate coffees from Karnataka's misty Western Ghats.

India’s coffee belt runs through the Western Ghats in Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. Estate coffees from regions like Coorg (Kodagu), Chikmagalur, and Bababudangiri offer clean, full-bodied profiles. India is uniquely known for Monsooned Malabar — green coffee exposed to monsoon winds that develop a heavy, low-acid, earthy character. Specialty lots, particularly Arabica from high-altitude Karnataka estates, offer nutty sweetness and gentle spice.
